Never will your hands be photographed as much as they will be on your wedding day. Seriously.  Get your nails professionally done! It can be a simple manicure at a local salon or something more elaborate. It does not need to be expensive and is a great way to spend some quality time with your mom, sisters, or girlfriends before your big day. Here are four simple tips for the perfect nails:

 

1. Get your nails done no more than a few days before your wedding. You want them to look fresh and beautiful the day of. 
2. Stick to your normal style. Don’t go crazy if you usually have simple nails. A simple shellac or French manicure is perfect. 
3. Don’t be afraid of color. Your nails can be a simple French manicure, white, or a pop of color. Do whatever you love!
4. Don’t forget your toenails. Whether your shoes show them or not, having your toenails done will help you feel more put-together and special. Pedicures definitely make a great girls-night or bachelorette party. 

 

 

In addition to your nails, here are eight beauty tips to keep in mind so that you look your best on your wedding day:

1. Teeth whitening. I’ll just say it how it is. Nothing makes yellowed teeth stand out like a white wedding dress. You can have your teeth professionally whitened by your dentist, do at-home teeth whitening strips, use a whitening mouthwash consistently before the wedding, or even use a DIY strawberry-baking soda rub. 
2. Hair care. To keep your hair fresh and looking perfect, the best time to cut and color it is about 2-4 weeks before your wedding.
3. Moisturize. Keep your hands, lips, and even your elbows moisturized! 
4. Maintenance. Keep up whatever you usually do for beauty maintenance: waxing, eyelash extensions, shaving, whatever it is – keep up your normal routines. 
5. Don’t try something crazy. Don’t try a new face mask or shaving cream or spray tan or anything that you haven’t tried before anytime close to your wedding. You want to avoid peeling or breaking out in rashes, I’m assuming.
6. Drink water. It will help your skin be radiant and flushed out!
7. Beware of tan lines. Especially if you’re getting married in the summer, try to avoid getting any tan lines that would be obvious with your dress.
8. Keep your immunity up and take supplements if needed to ward off things like cold sores.

 

 

Make it meaningful…

Go get a mani/pedi with your mom, sisters, or girlfriends a day or two before your wedding, or do it for your bachelorette party.
