Sarah at Sarah Hicken Artisty is probably one of the sweetest people I’ve met. She is a Utah hair AND makeup artist (I love that she does both!). I met Sarah through Instagram and then got to meet her in person at a bridal fair I hosted. She’s awesome!

Her Story
Sarah started doing hair and makeup in 2016 after she got certified at Taylor Andrews. Later, she went to Paul Mitchell and graduated with her Master Esthetics license. She has a passion for hair and makeup and loves being able to be involved with it! Her work has been featured on LDS Brides, Utah Valley Bride magazine, Wedding Chicks, Rocky Mountain Bride, Women of the World, and Utah Fashion Week. She has worked with Minky Couture, Usana Health Sciences, and Salt Lake County providing hair and makeup service for commercial shoots and has even done hair and makeup for the Sundance Film Festival. Sarah loves the martial arts, french fries, and hiking!
Her Process
Once you reach out to Sarah via email or her site, she’ll set up a phone consultation and then discuss the makeup and hair inspiration and all the details. From there, you can schedule a preview or trial session (I super recommend this and you can do on the day of your formals/bridals if you’d like.). On your wedding day, relax and leave it to Sarah. You get to sit and be pampered in the comfort of your own home or venue while she accentuates your beautiful, natural features. I love that Sarah comes to you! Pricing ranges a lot depending on how much you would like done but would probably be in the low hundreds for a basic package and more as you add on more services.
Personal Note
I found Sarah on Instagram and invited her to be the Hair and Makeup Artist at a bridal fair I hosted. The second I met Sarah, I felt like we were friends. She is one of those people who is super sweet and makes you feel so good about yourself. She is so talented and provides such an amazing service.
