This is one of my VERY favorite sessions as a Utah county engagement photographer. Wow. Here’s their adorable story:
Five hundred and thirty miles from home ✈️
Olivia sat in the hotel by O’Hare International Airport. Delayed with none of her bags, she pulled out her phone to pass the time. She’d been on the Mutual app before but without finding much “mutual” interest with anyone. 😛 But when you have a six hour layover, it drives you to try new things. So, she opened it up again and started swiping. 📲
Meanwhile, one thousand five hundred miles from his home in Utah, Travis sat in his apartment. Studying at Notre Dame. He got out his phone too. He’d also tried the app out before without much luck, but call it fate or what you will, something drove him to open it again.
This dating app works off of your location and matches you with people nearby, so Olivia, a Canadian, and Travis in Indiana, NEVER would’ve matched if they hadn’t been in range. 🌎 Call it fate or a six hour layover in Chicago, but they both swiped right. 👉🏼 From there they started texting, then FaceTimes. Then Travis invited Olivia to come down for a legendary Notre Dame football game, assuming she wouldn’t come. But she did! Surprise!
They did all sorts of meetups for a while. Then the craziness hit. And it hit them hard. With border restrictions and closures, these two went through a lot together. But not even 1,900 miles and a pandemic could stop their love. 💕 SO happy for you Olivia and Travis! And so grateful that as a Utah County Engagement Photographer I get to help document their story!

Lauren
