Bride Guide #1 from Northern Utah Wedding Photographer Lauren Kay Photography
I want you to take a minute and imagine something with me.
I want you to imagine this.
You stand there. Exhausted. Your feet are sore from standing. You look and see a long line of people. You’re so touched that there are so many people here to support you. But at the same time, you’re not even sure who they all are. You look down the line. You think you see your Dad’s co-worker from a few years back, but you’re not sure. You scan the line again and see your best friend. Down at the end. You politely greet everyone there while you anxiously wait to talk to her. Once she’s there, though, you rush her along. Because there’s a long line of people still and you’re supposed to leave in 10 minutes to be with the man you just got married to. You just got married to. And you feel like you haven’t even seen him.
You guys. This doesn’t sound like the way I’d want to spend any day of my life. Let alone the most important one of it. And yet, how many weddings are just like this?
Now, imagine this.
You sit back in your chair. Savoring the last bite of one of the most delicious meals you’ve ever had. You scan the room. Your eyes stop at each table. Memories and moments with each and every person start flooding your mind. You’re overwhelmed with love and appreciation for all of these amazing people who have touched your life so deeply. You snuggle up to the man next to you, soaking it all in. Then you hear a chime. It’s your dad. He’s started his speech. And before you know it, your eyes are welling up. His words are so sweet and touching, they bring you to tears. Then your best friend takes the mic. And you’re laughing now. You laugh so hard it makes your side hurt. Then it’s time to dance. You lean into your, now, husband and sway back and forth. Completely content. You want to bottle up this moment forever.

As a Northern Utah Wedding Photographer, I care just as much about helping you create a meaningful wedding so that it’s something worth capturing.
Are you feeling a little overwhelmed by planning your wedding? Maybe so stressed by it all that you just want to throw in the towel? You’ve heard so many people say it’s so stressful to plan a wedding. Maybe you’re excited, or maybe you’re dreading it. When did weddings become so complicated anyway? Well, it doesn’t really matter. Because yours doesn’t need to be.
From the girl who learned everything not to do to the hard way, this new series of bride tips is designed to help you get rid of the fluff that doesn’t matter so that you can focus on what really does. Whether you’re my bride or not, my goal is to help every single bride have the wedding of her dreams.
