There are so many cute wedding invitation options out there now! Before I became a Utah photographer, I didn’t really know much about what options were available. So I designed our wedding announcements. They turned out alright, but I wish I would’ve left it to a pro! Designers can make your invitation, inserts, and stationery completely custom and they are always so beautiful. In my opinion, it usually ends up balancing out in terms of price. Although you pay to have your invites designed, they are usually less to get printed than a templated design.
However, templated designs are sometimes still the best way to go. And there are so many gorgeous options. Here are my top three picks for templated invitations and stationery:
Still designed by a community of independent artists, these templates are so stylish, classy, and beautiful. You can order a sample kit completely for free to see the quality of the invitations and type of paper you want to select. They also provide free guest address printing on your envelopes as well as a free wedding website for you to keep your guests in the loop. In addition to announcements and inserts, they design signs and décor as well. You can get 20% off your first order at Minted.

A very budget friendly option, Shutterfly has a tons of different templates and designs. They will also send you a free sample kit that includes a coupon for 40% off. Shutterfly is always having sales, so if you sign up for their emails and time it right, you can probably save quite a bit. In addition to announcements, they also design stationary, guestbooks, napkins, and more.

If you like to design, Canva is the way to go. Although I only like a few of their premade templates, you can create an invitation from scratch or change the design slightly to match your style. Designing with Canva is super intuitive and easy-to-use. It is my favorite graphic design program. The other plus is, you can have them print it for you, or you can have it printed yourself which may help if you’re on a tight budget.
