Regret Free Wedding Podcast Episode 2: 10 Things Every Utah Bride Needs To Know
As a wedding photographer, I get to see the culmination of all the effort of planning a wedding. I have a wealth of insight to offer but I know nothing beats the first-hand expertise of the leading wedding vendors. They have all the tips a Utah bride and all brides need to know! On today’s show, I’ve invited 10 of my absolute favorite vendors to share with us their #1 tip for planning a wedding.
Your wedding should be as unique as you and your love story and nothing less. Incorporate your personalities into every moment and let it shine!
Enjoy the experience! This is a time to celebrate your love. Take a step back and find great vendors that will help ease your stress. And keep things in perspective, you wear your ring every single day for the rest of your life so budget appropriately!
Enjoy the process and every step of the journey! Start with your venue and trust your vendors and trust the process and you will be so happy with the entire experience. Take advantage of the joy it can offer you.
See photography as an investment rather than something to check off the list or get a discount on. Your photos are one of the few things you get to keep from your wedding day and hiring a professional is so worth it.
Invest in a good, high-quality videographer. Video brings back so much emotion from the day of your wedding that you’ll be able to enjoy and relive for the rest of your life.
You are able to choose the right person to live with for the rest of your life, you can choose the dress you want. Invite trusted friends to help you but you make the decision.
Just go for it! If flowers, or photography, or whatever is important to you, just go for it and don’t skimp on what is important to you!
It’s so important to hire a professional hair and makeup artist because professionals know how to do it on someone else’s face, unlike a sister or friend who may be good at makeup.
Start early! Start looking for your baker and all your vendors early. As soon as you are engaged or know you will be engaged, start planning and booking early before they fill up and you’ll be able to plan and budget properly.
As fun as DIY is, avoid DIY projects for your wedding as much as possible. With all the added stress that weddings entail, leaving it to a professional allows you to enjoy your engagement and the day and you actually often save money.
As you can see, these vendors have so much amazing knowledge to offer us and they’ll be coming on later in the show with full episodes! Invest in good quality vendors! It will take off so much stress and will help you enjoy it so much more.
