What if everyone were just as insecure as you are?⠀
Seriously. One day I was chatting with my hub about friendships. I wanted to be better friends with someone in particular, but I didn’t feel like they really wanted to be my friend. I didn’t want to be obnoxious or overbearing so I stopped reaching out to them. They were gorgeous and funny and seemed to have it all together. I was sure they already had plenty of friends. And me? I was just a burden.
But as I talked with my hub, it totally hit me. What if they felt the same way? What if they wanted to be friends too but didn’t want to be overbearing or obnoxious, so they didn’t initiate much either? My whole perspective flipped on its axis. What if I intimidated them?

There have been so many friendships I’ve never really pursued because I felt like the other person would never want to be my friend. So many people I look up to that I’ve hesitated to tell because I don’t want to be another fan taking up their time. So many things I’ve dreamed of pursing as a Logan Utah photographer but have felt like they’d flop. But what if that wasn’t even close to the case? That person who I thought definitely didn’t want to be my friend, what if they didn’t have any? What if that influential person stayed up at night wondering if they were really helping anyone? That thing I want to do, what if it could change someone’s life for the better?
You guys. What if everyone felt just as unsure of themself as you do? That friendship you want to start? That person you want to date? That influential person you want to contact? That thing you want to give to the world? Would you take the leap of courage? Would you interact with others with a little more confidence?

Well, chances are, if you do you won’t be wrong. I think we all come across a lot more put together then we actually are. So go for it! Reach out to others. Pursue your dreams. What do you have to lose?

Lauren
