I got a text from one of my old roommates, “Have you heard about Krista? I’m sick about it…” Instantly I felt a pit in my stomach. I got on Facebook and saw – one of my best friends was now in a coma.
She had been hit while crossing the street by an uninsured drunk driver. They had to put her in a medically induced coma because of her severe injuries and the trauma to her brain.
Less than a week before this happened, me and all of my old roommates had been texting saying we needed to get together. This was such a shock. Krista is so spunky and joyful and I could always count on her to make me laugh.
I was so shaken up and wanted to do something to help her family, who now had staggering medical costs coming their way. So, I did a day of ten-minute mini sessions and donated all of the proceeds to her sweet family. It was so neat to see how many people were willing to support someone in need, even if they didn’t know her.
Because of God and His infinite love and miracles, she is doing so much better now and I’m confident she’ll recover quite well. Love you Krista girl.
I love this family. Wayne and Jessie have been so supportive of me from the very beginning of my business and I’m SO thankful for them. It’s been so fun to do pictures with them multiple times. They are some of the sweetest people I know.

Sarah and Steve have also been some of my biggest champions from the beginning and their support has been so meaningful. They are so fun and recently moved away so I was so glad to be able to see them again for a minute.

It was so fun to see Jessica again and meet her sweet little guy! Jessica and I lived in the same ward in college and we recently moved away and so did they. It was fun to reconnect for a minute and meet her baby. That’s one of the things I love most about what I do.

I love meeting new families! It was so fun to meet Ciara and Dustin and their sweet kids. They did so good and I loved the time we got to spend capturing these sweet little moments of their family.

Alyssa and Jake were a hoot. It was so fun to meet them and they had me laughing the whole time. They’ve been married a year now (way to go you two!) and I’m so glad I got to capture these fun anniversary pictures.

Claire and Sierra are two adorable girls in my ward. I love their mom and them so much. It was so fun to capture their cute personalities and run after them while getting some candids of them playing tag. I’m always amazed by how fast little ones can run!

Eric and Debora are some of my favorite people and I’m lucky they’re now my aunt and uncle! When I did my minis for Krista, they asked if they could take a few at the beach at our upcoming vacation – of course! We went out early one morning, snapped a few and then they were riding the waves within minutes. Sure love you guys!
