Bride Guide #47 gives you 5 tips on everything food for your wedding by Syracuse Utah Wedding Photographer Lauren Kay Photography.
Mmmmm. The best part of any celebration is the food. Am I right? I love food. When it comes to the food for your celebration, I want you to do two things. First, enjoy your food. Actually sit down and eat with your guests. Second, don’t stress over this. People are there to support you and it’s nice to provide a meal for them. That’s all. It does not need to be a big source of stress.
Your venue may have catering available, you can find a catering company, or you can even have something like Stone Fire Pizza or Café Rio catered. If budget is a concern, you could even do a potluck. Make it as nice as you can but it need not be expensive if you have a tight budget to stick to.

Yes, I think you should feed your guests. And yes, I think you should make it as nice as possible. But, you can definitely spend money on your dress and hair and your groom before you spend money on this. Have it be one of the things you budget for last and make the most of what you have.
Ask your guests on their invitation to RSVP. Really! Getting a final count can save you so much money. It also provides you an opportunity to ask about any food allergies. Put someone else in charge of the RSVPs, like your mom or a bridesmaid.
Especially when it comes to the treats, have fun! One of my favorite ideas is having the bride’s favorite treat and the groom’s favorite treat. With the desserts and with all of your menu, think about your favorites, have fun, and make it something you both love. You can have as many treats as you want or just one. The same goes for the menu. There’s nothing wrong with just pizza and salad or a seven course meal. Do what works best for you, your budget, and your personal preferences. And when you can, taste your menu before you commit.
It’s always a good idea to have a kid-friendly item on the menu, like pizza or macaroni and cheese. This helps the kids and parents stay in a better mood!
Remember to get enough food for any vendors who are helping. And you may want to ask your caterer for two extra portions to be boxed up for you and your groom to take with you for a late-night snack. Or have someone bring a Tupperware and box it up for you. Have a little bit extra on hand, but not too much. You don’t have to go way overboard!

Food for thought:
● Have pizza and salad and make the display look nice. If you present it nicely, there is nothing wrong with pizza!
● Cater something mid-range like https://www.caferio.com/ or https://www.chick-fil-a.com/
● Get RSVPs from all of your guests so you’re only paying for who will actually be there.
● Serve dinner to the small, close-knit group that was at the sealing/ceremony and only serve dessert for those coming to the rest of the celebration.
