Bride Guide #67 Gives you 10 tips on having a Winter Wedding by Paradise UT Wedding Photographer Lauren Kay Photography.
Are you having a winter wedding? Winter weddings can still be incredibly gorgeous! They may be cold,
but don’t let that discourage you.
Cute sweaters, beanies, boots. Embrace it!
If the foliage is dead and dreary, consider a location that doesn’t have much foliage, like a city’s main street. Or, somewhere like an open field or pine tree
forest.
In your engagement outfits, in your bouquet. You want to stand out.
Adding a pair of warm leggings or tights, and wearing
boots can make such a difference.
Bring hand and feet warmers, blankets and coats, a pair of boots, and maybe even a thermos of
hot chocolate. It never hurts to stash them in your car for your sessions and wedding day.Use a cute, neutral blanket as a wrap for some of your formal and wedding pictures.
It fits the look of the season and will keep you a touch warmer.
This will keep them from freezing!
Some venues have fireplaces. Add hot chocolate. Have blankets.
Make your celebration a cozy gathering.
Is there somewhere close by you could go that would be
warmer? Or do you have the budget to go somewhere tropical? If this is something you and your
groom would like, then do it!
Remember…
Lighting for pictures is usually best at sunset or sunrise. Sunset is a lot earlier in the winter than it is in
the summer.
